School Holiday Fun: Make Cocoa Cloud’s Famous Chocolate Mousse Together!
The school holidays are here, and what better way to bond with your little ones than by whipping up something delicious together? At Cocoa Cloud, we’re sharing an easy chocolate mousse recipe—a simple, no-bake treat that’s perfect for making (and eating!) with kids.
Why This Recipe is Perfect for Kids

Cocoa Cloud’s Creamy Chocolate Mousse
(Makes 4 servings – double it if you want leftovers!)
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate (we use 60% Belgian Callebaut Chocolate, but Whittaker’s 50% is also a good choice which is easy to find in any supermarket )
- 3 free-range eggs (separated)
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 150ml cream (plus extra for whipping)
Kid-Friendly Steps:
1. Melt the chocolate (Grown-up step!)
- Break chocolate into pieces and melt with 50ml cream in a microwave (30-second bursts) or over a double boiler. Let cool slightly.
2. Whip the egg whites (Great muscle training for little arms!)
- Kids can whisk egg whites with sugar until soft peaks form (electric mixer makes this faster).
3. Mix the yolks
- Stir egg yolks and vanilla into the cooled chocolate.
4. Fold together
- Gently fold chocolate mix into egg whites.
5. Chill & decorate!
- Spoon into cups and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Top with whipped cream, sprinkles, or fresh berries.
